Yesterday we visited the U.S. Botanical Gardens. We used the Plant Passports (essentially scavenger hunts) to explore the Conservatory (indoor garden). For the wrap up to public safety week, our campers and Adventures on The Hill Summer Camp had a visit from the United States National Guard. They brought an obstacle course and tanker to Adventures on The Hill and allowed our campers to fully engage in hands on learning experiences with our National Guard.
On Wednesday June 20th, FEMA came to visit Adventures on The Hill Summer Camp for public safety week. The did many hands on activities, drills, and emergency preparedness practice with our campers in Capitol Hill, DC. The children truly enjoyed the activities and drill.
